The values of Freemasonry are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Freemasons are taught to practise charity and to care, not only for their own, but also for the community as a whole – both by charitable giving, and by voluntary efforts and works as individuals.
From its earliest days, Freemasonry has been concerned with the care of orphans, the sick and the aged. This work continues today. In addition, large sums are given to national and local charities.
Masonic charity is exercised at every level: individual Lodges make gifts and give aid to their own communities and every Province also gives large sums of money to regional causes.
Locally, we encourage members to support charities important to them.
The Cayman Masonic Children’s Foundation
The objective of the Foundation is to raise funds and to solicit donations of products and services from both masonic and non-masonic sources. The purpose is to provide food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education, counseling and other necessary care for needy children in the Cayman Islands, and to provide modest assistance to children in need who do not fit the criteria for the usual social-service programmes. The Brac Lodge’s primary charity has been to the CMCF which provides a sizable annual contribution to the “Feed Our Future” Campaign to provide lunches for children in the Publicly Funded Schools.
The Cayman Masonic Benevolence Association
The objects of the Association are to raise funds from any Masonic source, and to use these funds and the income earned thereon for the assistance of the Freemasons of the Cayman Islands and their wives, widows, children and other dependents in need of assistance.

The District Grand Lodge has three main charitable projects and these are as follows:
Under the guidance of the President of the District Board of Benevolence, the Board reviews petitions sent to it by the Lodges in the District for relief in both Masonic and non-Masonic circumstances.
This Association seeks to aid indigent Freemasons, their families, and dependents. It is jointly sponsored and supported by the English, Irish and Scottish Constitutions.
The District takes a special interest in this institution for homeless children.
In addition to supporting these charities, individual Lodges have their own outreach programs for the benefit of hospitals, schools and community projects in their immediate vicinities with a special emphasis on charities which benefit children generally.
