Become a Mason

UNIVERSITIES SCHEME

Tradition and continuity are two of the values which characterise the relationship between Freemasonry and universities. It was nearly 200 years ago that the first university Lodge, Apollo University Lodge, was founded at Oxford, with Isaac Newton University Lodge following soon afterwards at Cambridge.

SUGGESTED STEPS

After reading through the information on this site, if you are still interested in becoming a Freemason, we advise that you first talk to a family member, friend or colleague whom you already know to be a member. They will be able to further explain to you about freemasonry and help you take the first steps to finding a suitable Lodge.

If you don’t know anyone at all who is a member, then either contact a Masonic Office in your area, or contact us and we will happily assist you.
