Devonshire Freemasons join Warhorse author to help disadvantaged children down on the farm
Devon Freemasons have donated £63,000 to Farms for City Children to help 200 disadvantaged children experience life on a farm.
The charity was set up by Sir Michael Morpurgo and his wife Clare and the acclaimed author was present at Nethercott to welcome members of the Devonshire Freemasons along with children from an inner city Plymouth school.
Ian Kingsbury, Provincial Grand Master of Devonshire, said: “The experience they offer these children can be life-changing, including improved behaviour at school which can give them a chance to make the most of their education.”
